Adithya Arun
Junior, aerospace engineering and computer science

Adithya is a member of the Aerospace Engineering Honors Program and was in the First-Year Innovation & Research Experience (FIRE) Autonomous Unmanned Systems Stream in past semesters. He is a research assistant in the Space Systems Lab and the Space Power and Propulsion Lab. As co-founder of Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS@UMD), he led the creation of UMD’s first student-designed CubeSat with a research payload. Adithya will be interning at Tyvak Nano-Satellite Systems this summer and is excited to work as a resident assistant next fall.

Priscilla Lee
Senior, bioengineering (minor: global engineering leadership)

Priscilla has served as chair for the Women in Engineering Student Advisory Board, as a Women in Engineering mentoring program coordinator, and is president of Alpha Omega Epsilon. She is an undergraduate research assistant in the Mucosal Associated Immune System Engineering and Lymphatics Lab; an active Clark School Ambassador; and a member of the Bioengineering Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. She was a part of the QUEST Honors Program, Flexus, and the First-Year Innovation & Research Experience (FIRE). Priscilla will finish her master’s degree through UMD’s B.S./M.S. program and then begin work as a technology analyst at Accenture.

Kim A. Borsavage and Pamela J. Stone Student Award for Outstanding Service: presented for outstanding service and dedication to the Clark School.

Yasmine Pierre
Junior, bioengineering

Yasmine is a member of the QUEST Honors Program and the current undergraduate representative for the Clark School’s Diversity Council, where she introduced the anti-racist and inclusive engineering curriculum initiative. She is an alum of the First-Year Innovation & Research Experience (FIRE), in which she led and presented award-winning research funded by the NSF Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Participation Undergraduate Research Program. She mentors students with the Black Engineers Society, FIRE, and Flexus programs and in the Center for Minorities in Science and Engineering. Yasmine will intern at Dell Technologies this summer working on sustainable material innovations.

A. James Clark School of Engineering International Leader Award: presented for leadership and service through international engineering activities.

Sabrina De Nicola
Junior, bioengineering (minor: sustainability)

Sabrina is a member of the Bioengineering Undergraduate Honors Program, where she is working towards completing a research thesis on bioaugmentation techniques to combat stormwater pollution. She received the Gilman International Scholarship to study abroad at the Universidad Pontificia Comillas in Madrid, Spain. Sabrina is co-president of Maryland’s chapter of Engineering World Health, a peer mentor for the Society of Women Engineers, and plans to pursue a Ph.D. in environmental engineering.

Clark School Dean's Award: presented for excellence in academics, leadership, and service to the college.

Abigail Meyer
Senior, mechanical engineering

Abigail has been involved with the Flexus living-learning program, University Honors, and the Women in Engineering Program. She has been a committed member of Terps Racing, where she is part of the Baja Team, serving as team captain for the last three years. Within the Women in Engineering Program, she has volunteered for many of their events through which she helped introduce girls to STEM fields. Abby has accepted a position at Oshkosh Corporation in a rotational engineering program in Wisconsin.

A. James Clark School of Engineering Student Advising Award for Professional Staff: recognizes staff excellence in undergraduate or graduate student advising. Created in 2016 by then Associate Dean Bill Fourney and former Dean George Dieter.

Isabella Kolar
Senior Academic Advisor, Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering

Dr. Kolar, who enjoys helping students solve problems and achieve their goals, is being recognized for her passion for advising, her availability to students and faculty, and her empathetic nature, especially during the pandemic. She is also applauded for her willingness to take on additional responsibilities in the department, such as their Student Spotlight Interviews, which she writes for their website.
