New Request System

We have chosen & implemented a new request system for all non-MakerBot (Innovation Center) requests.

Users who wish to bill to KFS must establish a charging account on the new system prior to placing orders. Information on establishing this account will be posted shortly. This does not apply for users who pay via Terrapin Express, Credit / Debit, or Check at this time.

We are excited to have chosen a new request system for all non-MakerBot requests. PaperCut MF Job Ticketing has been selected as the lead contender in the request systems we tested internally & we have decided to implement it fully. Users will be able to log in and submit / track the status of jobs from within this system. The system will also send email updates on status changes and when comments are made on requests.

Effective immediately, new job requests submitted for the pieces of equipment specified in the beta will continue to be handled via PaperCut:

  • Formlabs Form 2
  • Markforged Mark Two
  • Stratasys Fortus 400mc
  • Stratasys Objet500 Connex3
  • Stratasys Objet30 Pro

Starting Monday, November 5th, 2018, new job requests submitted for the rest of our equipment will begin to transition to PaperCut. You will be notified by a Technician if your request must be processed through PaperCut instead of through email.

Users can access the new system via go.umd.edu/submit & documentation on how to place a request can be found via go.umd.edu/howto.

Scanning requests will continue to be handled in Jira Service Desk at this time.
